The Vote is In

luke&laura cropThe Board of Elders are pleased to announce that Luke Rosenberger was overwhelmingly affirmed as the new Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church.

We want to thank everyone for their love and concern for Cornerstone and the Rosenberger family. We appreciate the feedback and questions we have had over the last several months.

As we move forward would you commit to continuing to pray for Cornerstone as a church, Luke, and the rest of the elders. Earnestly seek to discover how God might be calling you to serve at Cornerstone as we endeavor to impact our community for Christ.

There will be a Commissioning Service on Sunday, August 27 withthe church picnic to follow at the Ministry Center.

This Sunday

this sunday

We’ve got a lot of things going on this weekend and we’re hopeful that you will be able to join us.

10:15 am – Sunday Service: We are excited to have the Heffner’s joining us this weekend! They are missionaries that are currently serving the Lord in Taiwan. We hope that you are challenged to pray for them in their ministry but also that you would grow in your desire to see the gospel advanced throughout the world.

12:00 pm – Lunch at Mineral Lake: Everyone is invited to grab their own lunch and join us at the park following the service. It’s an informal time to simply be with each other and build relationships.

6:00 pm – Church Meeting: Please join us at the Ministry Center as the Elders will walk through some of our goals for the year.

Summer Challenge

Summer Challenge

Summer has arrived!! The weather has warmed up and most people are excited for a change of pace. But if we’re not careful the next several months can just fly right by without taking full advantage of the time that is given to us. So we want to encourage you to be intentional this summer.

That’s why we’ve put together this Summer Challenge. We don’t need an excuse to serve someone in a specific way or to spend time studying a book of the Bible. But sometimes we need to be challenged to do so.

We hope this will inspire you to be intentional over the next several months!

Summer Challenge 2017

Women’s Summer Bible Study

We are very excited to be offering a women’s Bible study this summer!

The study is James: Living a Life of Genuine Faith By: Jen Wilkin.  This study will be a little different than ones we have previously offer, in that we will not be holding any large group meetings and you will complete the study by yourself.

Jen Wilkin does a fantastic job with her studies – they are easy to follow along, will get you digging into the Word, and will challenge you to grow.  She also has a free teaching after every lesson that you can listen to here:

However, we know that it can be hard to stay motivated and easy to lose focus when doing a study by yourself.  So we are encouraging you to sign up to be partnered with another lady that is also doing the study.  Our hope is that you will be able to share with each other what you are learning, check in with each other, ask questions, and maybe even meet for coffee every once in awhile.

We know that this may be out of your comfort zone and make you a little uncomfortable but we would highly encourage you to have the courage to sign up!  We are also setting up a Facebook group as an additional way for the ladies to stay connected through the study.

Please contact Kristen Elliott to sign up for the study or with any questions: or 440-429-2526.

Our official kick off will be next week so please contact Kristen by Sunday, May 21st.

Our prayer is that every woman at Cornerstone will be able to dig into a Bible study this summer and deepen their relationship with God!

Preaching this Spring

Joshua coverWe have begun a journey through the Old Testament book of Joshua on Sunday mornings. We will see how God is faithful in always fulfilling His promises. He was faithful to the Israelites and is faithful to us today. Please join us on Sunday mornings at 10:15am to study this book together.

Preaching Calendar (January 1 – April 16)

colossians-coverColossians is one of my favorite books in all of the Bible. The Apostle Paul points to Jesus again and again throughout his letter to this church in Colossae. And a few verses that I find myself going back to often in my life are found in the first chapter when Paul said,

God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

Over the next few months we are going to be Proclaiming the Greatness of Jesus Christ as we walk our way through this book together on Sunday mornings. I hope that you will plan on joining us.

Here is the preaching calendar for the next few months:
